The 230 seat Kings Theatre on Ohakune's main street is the oldest operating cinema in New Zealand and is still run by its founding family. During the winter season the cinema operates most evenings showing a selection of the latest movies. During the summer months the cinema is open 2-3 nights a week. Check the boards outside for current listings.

Alternatively, Ohakune has two DVD rental shops stocking the latest releases and a selection of classics. Contact stores directly for rental prices.
